In contrast, recent research in behavioral science suggests
that acknowledging burdens and barriers, while emphasizing the potential benefits of pursuing a scientific career－a promotion focus－can help women develop effective strategies to cope with the challenges they face in STEM fields.
A promotion focus encourages a new type of flexible thinking （that can change the way women perceive their own careers）.
This thought process also stimulates creativity, which ultimately will help them flourish in scientific and technical careers.
対照的に、最近の行動科学研究が示唆しているのは、
科学分野でキャリアを追求することで得られる潜在的利益のことをいつも考えながら（つまり、昇進昇格にピントを合わせること）、いろいろな負担や障害があることを認識していることが、
女性がSTEM分野で立ち向かう挑戦を成功させるのに有効な方法を編み出すのに役立つということだ。
